Stockholm’s dominance as a financial and cultural center among the countries facing the Baltic Sea is long established. Its civic tradition has been the source of a remarkable design tradition ranging from architecture and planning, to product design and landscape architecture. This course delves into the ideas and protagonists of a city with worldwide influence.


Faculty Bio

Pierluigi Serraino is a practicing architect and educator. The author of many books on architecture, including TASCHEN's Modernism Rediscovered and Monacelli's The Creative Architect, his articles and projects have appeared in Architectural Record, The Architectural Review, Perspecta, Abitare, A+U, ACADIA, and the Journal of Architectural Education.
